In the blink of an eye Autumn is upon us and one can feel the temperature moderate, the days and nights being much cooler and the mornings ‘crisp’.

Who could have imagined though the wide-spread late February rains across most of New South Wales and Victoria, with Queensland still in the firing line. We send our prayers to all those affected and hope their pain and anguish is soon eased.

Not surprisingly with various river tributaries flowing into the Murray upstream of Echuca, the River is steadily rising.

Winbi River Resort is in very good shape and the recent fine days have been most welcome. Certainly the weather has not dampened the spirits of guests, nor impeded our recent (slightly wet) wedding – ceremony and reception held in the marquee!

Some upcoming events include;

March 16-18: Echuca-Moama Celtic Festival www.celticfestival.com.au

The Staff & Management of Winbi River Resort extend to visitors, guests and others the compliments of the Season and our very wishes for a happy, safe & successful New Year.

We finished 2011 with much accomplished. Our refurbishment program of Units 1-12 is now complete, all being repainted, re-decked and with new carpet, LG plasma TV/cabinet, occasional tables, modular lounge, dining room table and chairs. Gardens around these Units have been levelled, re-barked and a new planting program underway (although planting will cease over the summer months).

Overall the Resort looks fantastic – clean and fresh.

Consequently with the forecast for great weather to herald 2012 Winbi is again ready for the ‘Malibu invasion’ and the Resort will be really rocking with the ‘sounds of summer’, laughter and festivity.

The New Year brings with it great entertainment, the following being but some examples;

• Jan 6&7 – ‘Girgarre Moosic Muster’
• Jan 20 – ‘Shakespeare in the Vines’
• Jan 21 – ‘Morley Auto Group Echuca-Moama Triathlon’
• Feb 11/12 – ‘Southern 80 Ski Race’
• Feb 18 – ‘Maryborough Jazz Ensemble’

For further information on these and other activities, particularly those targeting children, please contact the Visitor Information Centre. (03) 5480 7555
